Grow Community, Cultivate Change

Volunteers Are the Heart of Greater Newark Conservancy

Whether you’re planting vegetables, maintaining green spaces, supporting educational workshops, or helping at our community events, your time and energy directly support community health, sustainability, and food justice in Newark.

Volunteering with us is a hands-on way to make a meaningful impact—right in your own neighborhood.

Why Volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer is one of the most impactful ways to get involved in the community. As part of our team, you’ll:

  • Support environmental education and community health
  • Help maintain gardens and farm plots for food access
  • Assist with farm stands, CSA boxes, and greenhouse harvests
  • Contribute to family programs and school field trips
  • Gain experience in sustainability and urban agriculture

No matter your experience level, there’s a place for you here.

Group, Individual, and Corporate Volunteering
