Register For Tour Attendance for School Gardens Tours

The 3rd Annual Newark Grows School Gardens Tour on Friday, June 5th invites schools to show off their garden programs and share information and best practices while building connections with other school garden advocates and supporters. 
 
As the Newark Network of School Gardens continues to grow, we want to ensure school garden programs are collaborating and learning from each other's successes and failures as we all strive to build a greener, healthier Newark. The tour will serve as an opportunity to see how other schools are running their school garden programs to inspire others. Whether it's seeing a successful drip-irrigation system or educators working with students of all abilities in the garden, all schools have something special to share!

  • 8:00-8:45am – Arrival / Breakfast (at Greater Newark Conservancy)
  • 8:45-9:00am – Begin Loading Buses / Leave  
  • 9:15-9:45 – Link Community Charter
  • 10:00-10:30am – Philip's Academy Charter
  • 10:45-11:15am – American History High School
  • 11:30-12:00pm – Lunch / Networking (at Greater Newark Conservancy)
  • 12:00-12:30pm – Keynote Speakers

By checking this box, you agree to the following: I, for myself and my heirs, successors, and assigns, and all persons claiming through any of them (“Releasing Parties”) do hereby release Greater Newark Conservancy and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives (“Released Parties”), from any actions, causes of actions, suits, claims, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees and court costs), at law or in equity, which any of the Releasing Parties may have against the Released Parties for any loss, damage or injury to property or person, including death, relating to or arising from my participation in the provision of volunteer services to the City; provided however, that this release shall not apply to any action, causes of action, suits, claims, liabilities, losses, costs or expenses (including  reasonable attorney fees and court costs) at law or in equity, which arise solely from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Released Parties.  I indicate my desire to participate in the Event noted above and attest that I am physically fit and prepared for this Event, and that I am at least 18 years of age. I further grant to Greater Newark Conservancy (GNC) the rights to photograph, record and film me and my child(ren), if applicable, and to use, and grant to others the right to use, my image, voice and name in any medium (including the Internet and video), now and in the future, for any purpose that supports GNC’s missions, including, but not limited to materials used for educational, promotional, commercial, advertising or fundraising purposes. I further agree to waive and release GNC and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives with respect to any and all legal claims, lawsuits or other similar private actions of third parties brought against, or losses or damages incurred by me or my children, if any.
