A Place to Land: Harriet’s Garden

Join Heavan Walker-Smith, FoodCorps Educator at Harriet Tubman and Avon Avenue School, on Sunday, September 7th from 12-2pm as she kicks off Newark’s Harvest: A Citywide Garden Tour. She’ll walk you through the history of Harriet’s Garden including how she has activated a lot of educational and community programing in this space since beginning her journey last year. From building your own terrarium, to creating smudge sticks and herbal tea blends, there is sure to be an activity for all to enjoy!
